Thankfully the misconception that 'proper' artists don't use photos as reference to paint and draw is fast fading away, no doubt helped by many professional artists writing books that promote the use of photos. For all kinds of reasons many artists are unable to paint on site and they need photos to use as reference.

Our photos will help improve your pictures, free you from wasted time searching for reference and subject photos and provide you with all the inspiration you need.

The proliferation of photos on the Internet means it should be easy to find the photo you are looking for. But how many of you have given up completely or settled for a substandard image before time runs out?

Photos4artists is dedicated to helping every artist to find an image that will inspire them to paint and draw good works of art. Without that inspiration satisfactory paintings are extremely difficult to produce.

Time is also a determining factor for many artists. Few of us can set aside three or four hours, let alone an entire day to plan and craft our masterpiece.
